Staex joins the peaqosystem to provide DePINs on peaq with an indexing function and a tool for connecting clients and service providers.

Staex will enable DePINs in the peaqosystem to build and grow even faster thanks to its connectivity layer, providing greater services and value to the community.
As we all know, a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) can include hundreds of thousands of devices from all around the globe, all generating thousands of transactions every second. Behind every transaction, such as a payment for a vehicle charging session or drone delivery, are multiple exchanges of data. The data exchange between people and the services they use needs to run smoothly, but in order to do that, a DePIN needs to have transparent device tracking.
Staex is a secure public network for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Originally a Deutsche Telekom project, it is now a fully independent entity focused on decentralizing IoT connectivity. At last year's Paris Blockchain Week, one of Europe's largest Web3 events, it was on the top-3 list of the Start in Block startup pitch challenge, winning an award from the Web3 foundation, adding it to the list of its other awards.
Staex is now joining peaq to provide DePINs in the ecosystem with a powerful connectivity solution. By building an indexing pallet for peaq, Staex will enable the community to keep track of the devices connected with the network. For developers, a user interface will offer an expanded toolset for managing peaq IDs on their DePIN.
Additionally, Staex will integrate peaq with its Mesh Communication Component (MCC), a protocol that enables devices on a decentralized network to communicate with each other from any location. The MCC provides two core functions: service discovery and tunneling, meaning that service providers will be able to register their services in the network and allow others to use these services. And because it’s a truly decentralized platform, DePINs can work on one network while still remaining fully independent from each other.
Its integration with peaq will also leverage peaq access, peaq’s role-based access control function, which unlocks the ability for builders to set rules for interactions within the network.
