Arkreen expands to the peaqosystem

What’s happening?

Arkreen, a Web3 energy data and certification platform, is expanding to the peaqosystem to help projects focused on sustainable energy.

Why is it important?

The global push for sustainability is gaining momentum, but smaller energy providers are often under-utilized, and struggle with monetizing their resources. Arkreen will enable green energy DePINs (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) track and monetize their impact on making the industry greener.

What does it mean for the community?

By expanding to peaq, Arkreen will help open the path to green energy adoption by introducing monetization tools and rewards for green power suppliers, attracting more on-chain activity and introducing more value for everyone.

Global sustainability has become a crucial topic as the world is forced to decide how to power our future: Either embrace planet-warming emissions or create a true foundation for clean energy. While the choice seems simple, there are many barriers to break through on the path to a sustainable future. Large green energy companies are growing more competitive, but small businesses and even private installations are often underused, and struggle with setting up revenue streams. Part of the challenge is monitoring energy capacities and putting them to good use, which needs a common data space.

Arkreen allows green energy businesses and households to outfit energy assets with devices that monitor their activity and issue renewable energy certificates. These tradable certificates confirm the production and supply of specific amounts of green energy and can work as carbon credit to sell.
By expanding to peaq, Arkreen will allow green energy-focused DePINs in the peaqosystem to certify the activity of their energy data assets, amplify their monetization efforts, and unlock new revenue streams for projects and energy asset owners.

“We are excited to be expanding into the peaq ecosystem, the DePIN home. We see a lot of potential integrations in the current stack of projects building on peaq, and look forward to its further growth. Web3 has a lot of tools to offer to the sustainable energy sector, and we’re looking forward to exploring this further together.”
– Abba Garba, Head of Product and Partnership at Arkreen

Additionally, Arkreen is working with penomo, another member of the peaqosystem, on a proof-of-concept project with batteries and solar panels. penomo will tokenize the batteries while Arkreen will aggregate the data and facilitate its use. Updates will follow.

“We are thrilled to see Arkreen step into the peaq ecosystem. As a data platform for green energy projects, it adds a lot of value to projects building on peaq. Sustainability is one of the core values for the peaq ecosystem, and it’s one that is very much shared with Arkreen.”
– Till Wendler, co-founder of peaq
